If you are in the market for a new printer, I would recommend a laser printer. Laser printers are much faster, create more crisp pictures (or BARCODES), and use less ink. The printers tend to be more expensive, and the toner cartridges tend to be more expensive as well (around $100 each retail price, and I use one every 6 months).
