Here is an AMAZING new one for you! In the world of “kouponing” there are tons of new things that we get to try. My favorite way to try out new products and services is through their intro offers. We get to see lots of new user discounts, as well as order lots of things online. However, this puts your credit card on many different sites. There is a new (to me) company that helps with this issue. Privacy creates credit cards that can be used on “iffy” websites, or sites that have recurring charges. This is perfect for us for a couple of reasons. ONE, your credit card information is safe with the Privacy site/app, and TWO you can set spending limits on these “faux cards” to only authorize a specific amount, OR to only allow ONE charge on the card. This is SUPER exciting news if you have ever forgotten about a subscription and had a full price item show up at your door 🙂
In addition, the intro offer for this company is a FREE $5 to spend ANYWHERE on ANYTHING, which is pretty amazing. To use the service, you just join via the link below, and you will have a free $5 deposited in your account. The Privacy account will connect with your bank account (exactly the same way as PayPal does), and when you send a payment, the companies will only see the “faux card” that you create for them; none of your “real” information will be available to them, keeping it (and you) safe. You just create a new card, set a spending limit and number of transactions, and you will get the credit card info to pay online. Super easy, and a true “set it & forget it” online option!! Check them out here:
- Sign up for Privacy HERE, and get $5 added to your account. You will need to connect your bank account to cover anything over the $5 spent.
- Click New Card to generate a new credit card number. This will deduct from your Account Credit (here $2.82 in green), and then bank account for anything above that amount. Title the card, and set a spending limit. NOTE the bottom left corner is “single use” to allow you to NEVER receive a second month charge on that card; perfect for subscription trials or purchases from iffy websites.
- Set it and forget it. After designating the amount that you will authorize, the account will charge for the one authorized time and then the credit card will become inactive. This is perfect to make sure that you don’t have any surprise charges. This is also great to not have your credit information up on tons of sites, to only allow a specific amount to authorize per charge/month/year/ever. AWESOME!!
