Here’s a great new one for you! Dinnerly offers the most affordable, family friendly meals of any of the meal boxes, and they do this while delivering delicious, hearty, family friendly meals. Dinnerly costs just $5 per serving, and focuses on weeknight, no-fuss dinners with pre-portioned ingredients and delicious recipes. These meals are delivered weekly (although you can skip weeks any time it doesn’t fit your schedule), and involve minimal chopping and prepping. The dinners take about 30 minutes, 5 ingredients, and frequently just one pan. If you are looking for just good, home cooked food, this one is a company that you NEED to try! Our whole family loved each of these, and the quantity of food was PLENTY for leftovers as well. Here’s what I received in my box:
Grilled Onion Turkey Burgers w/Pepper Jack & Sweet Potato Fries
I am not really a fan of ground turkey, but even hubby couldn’t stop raving about how juicy and flavorful these burgers were! The pepper jack cheese adds so much, and the red onions were just incredible. This one was super easy to make, and the sweet potato fries rounded it out perfectly. Amazingly, there wasn’t even a sauce on the burgers, and it didn’t even need one. This was on the table in about 30 minutes, and was a kid friendly meal.
Grass-Fed American Chop Suey w/Corkscrew Pasta
OK, so I didn’t realize what “chop suey” was before we had this one, but I surely didn’t want it! Chop Suey just means meat and veggies thrown together, cooked with the pasta. Everything for this one was made in the same pot, and since the pasta cooked with the tomatoes and meat and everything, they were packed with flavor. I did throw some cheese on top, but that’s because we LOVE cheese. The recipe also said that we could add a can of beans (to get crazy), so there was SO much food. This was so hearty that we actually had it for dinner and our lunch the next day.
Harissa-Spiced Chicken w/Potatoes, Onions, & Spinach
This one really surprised me as well! I tossed the potatoes and onions with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper, and threw them on a sheet pan. I used the same bowl and tossed the drumsticks with the seasoning included, and threw those on a sheet pan. Everything baked, and then had a minute of broiling and a minute of wilting the spinach. This one was so juicy and had so much flavor, and was astoundingly easy to put together! I also loved how much of this one was veggies, but it was too much for us to finish, so we had leftovers again with this one.
Overall, I was very surprised at how easy these recipes were. Everything was quality ingredients, very well balanced dishes, and even our one year old loved the food. It was also nice to not have 6 pans to clean when I was done with dinner, as they all only took a pan (or maybe two), and minimal prep to get the food going. If you are looking for an “unfussy” meal service to get quality, easy, delicious meals to your doorstep, you absolutely have to give Dinnerly a try. They are half the cost of the other companies at just $5 per serving, and you can easily skip weeks that don’t work for your schedule.
