Filing By Date Method: Expired Coupon Inserts to Purge! (Updated 5-8-22)

I use multiple methods to organize all of my coupons. One of these is the “file cabinet method”, which involves keeping whole inserts, and filing them by date for future reference. This is SO easy, and makes sure that I keep the overwhelming pile of inserts OFF of my desk. My file cabinet tends to fill up quickly, however, so we still need to do some housekeeping. Here is a list of all of the ENTIRE inserts that you can throw away if you are filing by date in the file cabinet method:

Purge ALL: January – December 2021 – purge all except:

12/5/21: Keep SV (exp 6/30), Purge SS

January 2022

1/2/22: Purge SV, SS
1/9/22: Purge SS
1/16/22: Purge SV, Unilever, SS
1/23/22: Purge SS, SV
1/30/22: Purge SV, SS, PG

February 2022

2/6/22: Keep SS (exp 11/30), Purge SV
2/13/22: Keep SV (exp 5/31)
2/20/22: Purge SV, SS
2/27/22: Purge SV, SS, PG

March 2022

3/6/22: Purge SV, SS
3/13/22: Keep SS (exp 5/31)
3/20/22: Keep SS (exp 12/31)
3/27/22: Keep SV (exp 6/30), SS (exp 5/31), Purge PG

April 2022

4/3/22: Keep SV (exp 12/31), SS (exp 5/31)
4/10/22: Keep SV (exp 6/30), SS (exp 7/31)
4/17/22: NO INSERTS
4/24/22: Keep SV (exp 6/26), SS (exp 6/24)

May 2022
