We moved into a fixer upper two years ago, and my number one issue was our grout. I keep seeing these videos online about grout cleaners with super high powered (aka expensive) machines who would come in and clean the grout for a few hundred bucks. Turns out that you also have to put a sealant down as well, or the dirt will just collect and need to be redone in a couple of months anyways. Well I just heard about this new product from a friend who did her floors a couple of years ago (and hasn’t needed to reapply!), and decided for $13, I would give it a try. I have just started using it, and I am SO excited! I might need a second bottle, but considering most of my home is tile (about 800 sq ft), that is an incredible savings. Here’s a couple of areas that I have done so far:
As you can tell with just the hallway and bathroom, this is making such a huge impact in the overall look of the house! Everything looks brighter and cleaner. There were also some minor cracks and chips in the grout that are now covered as well, so it looks newer. We also won’t need to add an additional sealant, since this product seals as well. It is time consuming to apply, but dries extremely quickly. Because I am going from (in some areas) almost black to bright white (although there are a ton of colors to choose from), I needed to apply multiple coats. I used a foam brush to apply the product, and a combination of my fingernail and a wet rag to remove anything that got on the tile. Make sure to work in small sections as it does dry pretty quickly. Also, the lines themselves are not a big deal, but the CORNERS need to be perfect, as those are what are the most eye catching with any slopped sealant. You can grab yours here for $14 in a whole assortment of colors, and get store pickup or orders $49+ ship free as well. Let me know if you have any questions, or how yours turns out!!!
