Over the past several months, I have been trying all of the meal delivery services out there. One of them, however, really stands out in terms of simplicity and EASY, QUICK cooking. Every one of Gobble’s recipes was on the table within 15 minutes, most of them made with one hand with the other holding a clingy baby. If you are short on time, or maybe lack in skills in the cooking department, WOW is this a good one for you to try! Their meals were also well balanced, and delicious, which is an oh-so-important factor for me! I also was able to choose which of my meals I wanted to receive (you can always skip a week if it doesn’t work for your schedule or you don’t want what they offer that week!). They even threw in a couple of cookies too as a “thank you” for trying their product, which was super nice. Here’s what they sent in my box:
Lemon Pepper Chicken With Zucchini & Summer Tortellini Salad
This one was incredible. Everything was cooked in one pan, and literally finished in under 10 minutes. The directions for this one even had grilling instructions, but since it was over 100 degrees and our air conditioning was out, this was an incredible meal and so perfect to not heat up the house. The chicken was juicy and pre-marinated, and the zucchini had a delicious lemon pepper seasoning. The tortellini salad, however, stole the show. This was bright and fresh and hubby is still asking about it. Super delicious!
Flap Steak & Papaya Salad
I was very excited to see this one; this was a super healthy salad, with tons of fresh herbs. It had papaya, a slaw mix, fresh mint, basil, and more. There was a spicy vinaigrette, and an incredible flap steak (at a perfect medium rare, but you could cook it more if you wanted 🙂 ). Everything was already chopped; I literally threw all of the packages into a bowl and tossed with the dressing. After the steak cooked, I was DONE with all of the prep work. I loved how healthy it was, but we were totally full afterwards. We did end up eating the cookies this night, which was a wonderful, unexpected treat.
Pan Roasted Chicken With Zucchini Noodles & Sauce Vierge
Our final meal was something that I had been wanting to try for a long time; zucchini and squash noodles. These were sauteed for a minute in a garlic butter sauce, and were SO great. The sauce was a tangy tomato caper sauce, and the chicken took just a couple of minutes to cook. The whole dish was on the table in about 10 minutes, and was a very healthy option. My only complaint was that I could have eaten several more servings of the noodles; I am going to need to start making those on a regular basis!
Overall I think that everything was so easy and already prepped, and incredibly fast. Especially on nights that dinner just isn’t going to happen, which happens a lot more than I would like to admit, a service like this is super helpful to defend your family against having pizza delivered – again. I would highly recommend trying out the service, especially with their introductory offer! Right now, they are offering $50 off your first box , which is the best offer that we have ever seen! That is cheaper and quicker than going out to the drive through, and much healthier too!
