Here’s a great new one for you! Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has hotels WORLDWIDE, and they have a great credit card available. This hotel group has some of the best promotions running all of the time, and can make for tons of super cheap or free stays. Their IHG Rewards Club credit card is a GREAT starter card, with it’s huge introductory offer and high value benefits. Keep in mind that you will get great rewards with this card on ALL everyday purchases, not just hotel related expenses. I have had this card for about 6 years now, and it has been WONDERFUL. We have stayed for free with the rewards on this card in London, but there are so many really inexpensive places to stay in the USA as well.

IHG hotels include big brands like Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suites, and more, and have locations in every state. An average night (of course, depending where you stay) will run about 30,000 points, and almost all of them include a free breakfast (a BIG deal for us with kids). In addition, you will earn an 140,000 point BONUS when you spend just $3,000 on this card in the first 90 days. They will also give you a 5,000 point bonus for adding an authorized user (DON’T add your spouse, so that they can also get the same card/intro offer!), plus they have a new offer for a FREE Global Entry or PreCheck TSA pass included with your card (that’s a $100 value!).
