I’ve got a problem. Hand watering my plants has become like a second job. So, I built an automated sprinkler system that does all the watering for me. But that’s not even the best part. There was absolutely no digging involved. That’s right, zero digging. And you know what? It only cost me a hundred bucks. With this sprinkler system, you’re only going to need a few things. The first one is a sprinkler head. I got four for $22.60 American. The second one is a riser. These come in different lengths. I thought, you know, bigger is better, right? The third one is a garden spike fourpack for $12.99. And the last one is a timer because obviously you want to control when your plants get watered. Now, of course, you’re going to need hoses. Maybe you have some. I needed one. So, fantastic price for a 25 ft hose. By the way, these nozzles are interchangeable. I bought a pack of these other nozzles cuz I want to change things up a little bit. Completely optional. You’ll see. Here’s the total cost. And now you just put all this stuff together. Now, not all sprinkler heads are made the same. There are a couple distinctions that you should pay attention to. The first one is the degree of the spray. You can go from 0° to 360°.

The next thing you want to think about when choosing a sprinkler head is the range. That is going to tell you how far the water is going to go. And that’s why I bought these other nozzles because I want to put a sprinkler here in this little area. These particular nozzles go from 5 to 8 ft. My only issue at this point is that I just want this to be taller. So, for now, I’m just going to get creative and stick it through this upside down tall pot. Actually, that works great. And after that, it’s just basically setting up your sprinklers and connecting them with hoses. If you didn’t see this before, these garden spikes have a way that you can hook up two hoses to it. That way, you can have one spigot that can control multiple sprinklers. Other than that, it’s just about dialing in the time and how often you want it watered.
