This set will let you open your door for guests, packages, and more, all while maintaining the security of your home. Their Cloud Cam will store recordings of your home with no monthly fee, or show you live feeds, and you can unlock your home remotely with one of their several smart locks. This set looks amazing, and super convenient for people who aren’t home all of the time, or who lock themselves out, or who have people coming over, or…. Here’s how it works.
The Amazon Key Home Kit comes with an Amazon Cloud Cam (Key Edition) and an Amazon Key-compatible smart lock. Amazon Cloud Cam (Key Edition) indoor security camera features 1080p Full HD, night vision, and two-way audio. You can choose one of 8 Amazon Key-compatible smart locks from leading lock manufacturers, Kwikset and Yale. Once setup, use the Amazon Key App to unlock your door from anywhere, check in anytime with live view, watch clips of who entered and exited your home, and opt-in to in-home delivery.
You can choose who enters and when, and you don’t have to keep handing out your key. It also means you aren’t hiding keys outside, making for a much more secure home. There is even an option for in-home delivery where you can watch live/recorded while your packages are delivered INSIDE your home, so they aren’t stolen from your porch. This option is GREAT for people who get frequent deliveries (like me!) or who need more security with their packages.
This looks like an incredible system that will only get better as they get it more fully integrated. I wholly support upgrading your home into a smart home so that it can work better/more efficiently for you, and I can’t wait to try this one!
