Over the past several months, I have been trying all of the meal delivery services out there. One of them, however, really stands out in terms of simplicity and EASY, QUICK cooking. Every one of Gobble’s recipes was on the table within 15 minutes, most of them made with one hand with the other holding a clingy baby. If you are short on time, or maybe lack in skills in the cooking department, WOW is this a good one for you to try! Their meals were also well balanced, and delicious, which is an oh-so-important factor for me! I also was able to choose which of my meals I wanted to receive (you can always skip a week if it doesn’t work for your schedule or you don’t want what they offer that week!). Here’s what they sent in my box:
Singapore Street Noodles
This one was SO good, and very quick and easy. Everything was already prepped and chopped; even the noodles were cooked and just needed to go into boiling water for 1 minute. Everything was thrown into a pan, and then I fried the egg and threw it all on a plate. Literally was on the table in about 10 minutes flat, and tasted like something you would get out of an Asian restaurant (plus was VERY hearty with a huge amount of veggies and noodles!)
Pan Seared Chicken & White Wine Cream Sauce w/Wild Rice
This meal was very fancy, and filled with tons of healthy ingredients. I LOVE fresh herbs in my cooking, and the thyme all over made the whole plate taste so fresh. One of the biggest time thiefs for us is making brown rice; that can easily take 45 minutes. With Gobble, the rice is already done, and just needs to be reheated for 1 minute. The crispy skin on the chicken was delicious, and the leaks and mushrooms were creamy and super flavorful.
Spinach Ravioli w/Creamy Sundried Tomato Sauce, Artichoke Hearts, & Roasted Bell Peppers
OMG this one…wow. These were ricotta & spinach stuffed ravioli, with a creamy sundried tomato sauce, and roasted bell peppers and artichoke hearts. This was SUPER easy to make (hubby made this one!), and was absolutely delicious; we were both licking the plates (no, really!). We are absolutely making this one again, and having everything chopped measured, and ready (even the bell peppers were roasted and sliced!) made everything so much more enjoyable and easy to put together.
Overall I think that everything was so easy and already prepped, and incredibly fast. Especially on nights that dinner just isn’t going to happen, which happens a lot more than I would like to admit, a service like this is super helpful to defend your family against having pizza delivered – again. I would highly recommend trying out the service, especially with their introductory offer! Right now, they are offering 6 meals for just $36 (free shipping), which is a GREAT intro offer!
